Although our participation was only in virtual form, we sensed the unique atmosphere of this year’s GeoHab 2022 conference. We are amazed by very multidisciplinary character of the topics – from geological and biological identification of benthic habitats to cultural heritage and satellite-derived bathymetry. It was a pleasure to provide the presentation concerning geographic OBIA and machine learning supervised classifiers to separate shallow bedforms based on airborne lidar bathymetry datasets. We mentioned a brief summary of the main research objectives reached in our last article: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.enggeo.2022.106615
Meanwhile – we are carrying out hydrographic surveys with a multibeam echosounder in the Puck Lagoon. Soon we will share more details of this extensive measurement campaign!
